Weigh West Fins & Skins Tournament
I would like to thank all the participants who took part in the First Annual Fins & Skins Tournament Saturday May 5 at Weigh West.
Competitors from Ucluelet, Tofino and Nanaimo braved the elements to battle for fishing and golfing bragging rights and some amazing prizes.
Chuck Eldred won the fishing derby with a 39.5 lb halibut while Dale Holiday and Keith Prokopetz each shooting a 49 tied the golf tournament. A great time was had by all back at the Weigh West after with dinner and drinks followed by the prize ceremony and poker tournament.
A special thank you is sent out to the sponsors of the event who all donated some fantastic gifts. Long Beach Golf Course, Weigh West Marine Resort, Rod’s Power & Marine, Jay’s Clayoquot Ventures and Osprey Charters.
Watch out for next year’s event to be even bigger and better.
