Charter Fishing
Our fishing season begins in April with the first big run of feeder Chinook up to 30 lbs. and Halibut to 70 lbs. The next two months continue to see strong returns of Chinook with larger Halibut concentrations on the offshore fishing banks. This is the best part of the season for Halibut fishing. July and August are traditional months for large Chinook and an ever increasing Coho presence. Halibut fishing remains strong. September and October are the hottest months for salmon fishing in the calm waters of Clayoquot Sound. This is the time local stocks of salmon return to the Sound and linger until making the final run up nearby streams and rivers.
Fishing at Weigh West
Weigh West's charter fleet comprises large, comfortable Coast Guard approved boats equipped with the latest in marine electronics for angling and navigation. Our guides possess the necessary local knowledge to provide the best opportunities for the trip of a lifetime. Bait, fishing gear, and all weather cruiser suits are provided. We fish 2 to 4 persons per boat. All inclusive Fishing Packages are available or if you prefer you may charter a vessel on an hourly basis.

Rates are hourly with a 6 hr. minimum (morning) & 5 hr. minimum (afternoon) Fuel surcharge may apply / fishing license required

All meals from the menus of our Blue Heron Restaurant of Dockside Pub. Our food and beverage facilities are located on the waterfront and offer a wide variety of meals including local seafood.
Indicated hours of professionally guided fishing from a fleet of fully equipped boats.
Tackle, bait and floater suits.
Deposits: We require a 50% deposit at the time of booking on the total cost of your fishing package to hold your reservation. Weigh West accepts all major credit cards for deposits.
Cancellations/Refunds: Weigh West will refund the full amount of your deposit (less 3% processing fee) as long as you provide us with written notice of your cancellation at least 60 days prior to the starting date of your package.
